Our History
Ombengu Bushroller was developed in Namibia to address the growing challenge of bush encroachment affecting agricultural land across southern Africa. The technology was created in close collaboration with farmers and land operators to provide a practical and cost-effective solution for large-scale land restoration.
Since its introduction, the Bushroller has been successfully deployed across extensive farming areas, helping restore grazing land, improve agricultural output, and support sustainable land use practices.
Why Bushroller
Bush encroachment is a major challenge that reduces grazing capacity and limits the productive use of agricultural land. The Ombengu Bushroller provides an effective mechanical solution to control woody vegetation while preserving soil structure and supporting natural grass recovery.
Unlike more invasive clearing methods, the Bushroller allows for efficient large-scale land restoration with minimal environmental impact. Its durable design ensures reliable performance in demanding conditions, helping landowners restore and maintain productive land in a cost-effective and sustainable way.
Biomass Utilization
In addition to restoring grazing land, the Bushroller enables efficient biomass utilization. When equipped with a front rake attachment, cleared woody material can be collected and consolidated for further processing.
The collected biomass can be converted into wood chips for biomass energy, heating, or industrial use, or processed into charcoal. This allows landowners to transform cleared bush into valuable resources, creating additional economic value while supporting sustainable land management.
By combining land restoration with biomass recovery, the Bushroller provides both environmental and economic benefits.
